The seven-lamp panel has individual wires for each LED, which enables more flexibility in the design.  We can easily transform either panel into a custom piece.  We even took the time to apply a label indicating which way is up.  The non-glare fronts are so good, you can't see the printing at all with the lamps off
 P, R, N, D, 3, 2, 1 lamps are lit when triggered by a decoder devise (sold separately) or by your computer
